"Kind of hit or miss"
I bought one of the patterns and had a frustrating time with it. I got stuck early on because the stitch counts weren’t lining up with the rows, and a couple of the instructions didn’t really match what was shown in the photos. I kept undoing my work thinking I’d messed something up, but after a while it just felt like the pattern itself was off. Maybe some of their patterns are fine, but this one was definitely a miss for me. For a paid pattern, I expected it to be a lot more accurate.

I ended up not placing an order because I just didn’t feel very confident about it. There wasn’t really anything that made me feel sure the maker was reliable, and when I’m buying something, especially from someone I don’t already know, I like to have a little more reassurance. It may have been fine, but I didn’t want to take the chance without feeling better about the process.

"Checkout was a pain"
The checkout process was really frustrating. My cart kept clearing after I entered my info. Then the payment page froze twice. I finally gave up and ordered from another site. Not worth the hassle.

"Shipping took longer than I’m used to"
I ordered from mjsoffthehookdesigns.com, and while the items looked nice, the shipping took way longer than I expected. I’ve ordered from similar shops before and usually had a much smoother experience with better updates, so this was frustrating. The tracking info didn’t really help much either, which made the wait feel even longer.

The community is good, and people do seem willing to help, which I appreciated. But i got a little impatient waiting for some replies, and a few answers took way too much digging to find. It’s not bad overall, just a bit slower and more frustrating than I’d like.

"I was really hoping there would..."
I was really hoping there would be a bigger mix of patterns, but a lot of them felt similar to me. It might be fine if that’s the exact style you’re into, but I was looking for more variety in both designs and skill levels. I also expected a faster response when I had questions, which added to the frustration. In the end, I just didn’t find much I was excited to actually make.

"Maybe I just ordered at the wrong time"
I was really looking forward to trying this yarn, so it was a bit disappointing. The colors were pretty, but the yarn felt rougher than I expected and kept splitting while I was working with it. Maybe I just caught a bad batch or ordered at the wrong time, but for the price I was hoping for better quality. I’m not sure I’d buy it again...

"Prices felt a little hard to justify"
I was thinking about ordering from mjsoffthehookdesigns.com, but I quickly assumed the prices were going to be more than I was comfortable paying. I know handmade items usually cost more, and that’s fair, but from what I saw, it still felt kind of steep.
Maybe I judged it too fast, but my first reaction was that the pricing didn’t really match what was listed. It might be totally fine for someone else, but for me, it just didn’t feel worth it, so I ended up passing.

"Not quite what I expected"
I’ll be honest, my finished cardigan turned out okay, but it really didn’t look the way it did in the photos. The shape ended up feeling a bit bulky on me, and the edges didn’t sit as neatly as I hoped. Maybe it was something I did, so I don’t want to fully blame the pattern, but after putting in all that time and effort, I was disappointed.

"Had just about everything I needed"
I was a little unsure at first if the kit was going to have everything I needed, but it pretty much did. The instructions were easy to follow, and I only ended up grabbing one small thing from my craft box. Maybe I missed it in the kit, but either way it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, I’m happy with it and I’d probably order it again.

"The instructions made me lose trust"
I got stuck more than once because the steps just weren’t clear. I kept having to reread the same parts, and even then I wasn’t totally sure what I was supposed to do next. After a while, I started losing trust that the instructions would actually get me through it.

I’m happy with it overall. The actual product was good and everything looked right, down to the little details like the packaging being neat and nothing feeling out of place. My only small gripe is the checkout process, it worked, but it felt a bit clunky in a couple spots and I kept noticing little things that could’ve been smoother. Still, good experience overall

The photos came out clear enough, but I was expecting them to look a little brighter and more polished. A few of them looked kind of dull, so they were okay overall, just not quite as nice as I had hoped

I ordered a medium, but it fit more like an extra small. I had to double-check the tag because... make it make sense. Definitely not true to size for me.

I was able to find what I needed, so the site does the job, but I expected it to feel a bit more polished. Some pages took longer to load than I thought they would, and the menu was kind of awkward to use on my phone.

"The written tutorial was kind of confusing"
I had a hard time following the written tutorial, mostly because it didn’t really explain the steps in a way that felt clear to me. I’d read one part and think I understood what to do, but then the next step would seem to assume I already knew something that hadn’t been explained yet. It wasn’t completely unusable, but I definitely had to reread sections a few times and still felt unsure if I was doing it right.

I was hoping to see more creative designs, but a lot of it just felt basic and kind of samey. Nothing really jumped out at me, you know? I wanted to like it more, but it was a bit disappointing

"Packaging could’ve been a lot better"
I got my order a little while ago, I think maybe last week or the week before, and it showed up in this really flimsy mailer. The corners were bent by the time it arrived, which was disappointing. For what I paid, I expected it to be packed with a bit more care.
